BUZZER follows JACKSON, a young, successful African American attorney determined to build a life in the rapidly gentrifying neighborhood of his youth. When he returns “home” with his girlfriend, a teacher named SUZY, and best friend fresh out of rehab, DON — both white, the trio are soon forced to confront the simmering racial and sexual tensions that exist both inside their home, and outside their apartment.

A LOVE TRIANGLE IN TIMES OF GENTRIFICATION

What Audiences Said:

Over and over, audience members raved about our production, sharing that they spent their commutes home from the theater talking over the story and characters with their friends. The best part? They often disagreed about who was right or wrong at any moment of the play, praising the richness of the material and humanity of the play’s direction and performances. — Truly our dream come true!
